We help families stay out of poverty in the City of Chester

Chester Parochial Relief in Need Charity provides help to individuals and families who find themselves in need, hardship or distress in the City of Chester.

How we help prevent poverty

We provide small grants to people in need.

Our mission is to help and support those experiencing hardship and to help prevent poverty in the City of Chester, Cheshire.

We typically help by providing white goods, beds, bedding, store vouchers and other items such as furniture and household goods.

We respond to requests for support from individuals, couples and families. These are either referred to us by social workers, support workers in schools or by family members themselves.

We also welcome requests from other professionals such as health visitors and clergy and work closely with other charities. Whilst we can’t provide grants to help eradicate debt, we can provide signposting to organisations that can help.
